Lawrence “Larry” Vincent Tobin Jr., died after a courageous battle with a glioblastoma, in Hingham on March 19 at the age of 60. ​Larry’s final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Larry had touched in so many ways.

Larry is survived by his son Bailey Lawrence Tobin, daughter Beverly Mary Tobin, of Weymouth; siblings, Michael Tobin of PEI Canada and Margaret Tobin of Quincy; several nieces, nephews, cousins and Aunt Celia MacInnis of PEI Canada and an impressive entourage of friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father & mother, Lawrence “Vin” Vincent Tobin and Mary “Edna” (Mackinnon) Tobin; brother Charles and twin brother Leo Tobin and Aunt Sara “Sissy” Mackinnon.

Larry was was born on April 17, 1958 in Quincy Massachusetts where he attended school. Larry served in the United States Navy on an Aircraft Carrier, March 1977 to March 1982. Larry had many fond memories and stories of his adventures in Japan and on the aircraft carrier during his duty. Larry was employed and a well known icon at State Street Bank for 37 years. Larry was well known by his family and friends for his generosity, wit and his overall friendly disposition.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 30th at 10 AM in Saint Agatha’s Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton MA 02186.

Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.

A Celebration of Life will follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry’s life.
