Lawrence J. “Larry” Scales

Lawrence J. Scales of Holbrook, died unexpectedly on July 10, 2021. The beloved son of the late Frank and Margaret (Garvey) Scales. Brother of Marilyn Hirtle of Halifax and the late Frank and Robert Scales, Elizabeth Brennan and Janet Keyo. Best friend of many years to Mark “Sparky” Gallant of Milton and Renee Gordon of Quincy. Larry is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war and received a Bronze Star for his bravery. After completing his military career, Larry worked as a custodian for Milton High School. He enjoyed cars, skiing and traveling especially to Amsterdam. He will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 1-4pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life service will begin on Sunday at 4 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Cremation will follow. Burial will be held at a later date in Milton Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Larry may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 6675-8516 or to Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
