Larry was raised in Dorchester as a member of St. Matthews Parish and later graduated from Dorchester High School where he was a gifted athlete and carried on his love of sports as an avid Boston sports fan. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970, where he earned the Bronze Star Medal. After returning home to his family in Quincy, Larry and his wife moved to Holbrook where they resided for 14 years before settling in Abington for the past 28 years.
