Lawrence J. Abruzzese

Abruzzese, Lawrence J. of Braintree, died November 5, 2018.

Lawrence was born in Boston to the late Michael and Maria Abruzzese. He grew up in Dorchester and attended South Boston High School. Lawrence was a proud United States Navy Veteran, a retired Local 17 sheet metal worker and a member of the Weymouth Elks. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, socializing, tinkering in his workshop and spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Jeanette Abruzzese of Braintree. Loving father of Kristine Melo and her husband Ted of Braintree and Meredith Moran and her husband Ryan of Randolph. Brother of Peter Abruzzese of Holbrook, brother in law of Adelaide Burchsted and predeceased by his siblings Michael, Anthony, Salvatore, Gaetano and Anna. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas and Allison Melo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea St. Weymouth. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
