Lawrence D. Mclaughlin

McLaughlin, Lawrence D. “Larry” of Weymouth, died October 22, 2013.

Larry was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Union Local #17 in Boston for 57 years before retiring in 1992. During his career in the Union Larry was elected a Business Agent for local #17 and an Organizer for the Sheetmetal Worker International Association.  Larry was a real people person with a great sense of humor who enjoyed getting together with friends at Kelly’s and traveling.  He was a member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks and Local #17 retirees Association.  Larry was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox Fan.  He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Beloved husband of the late Irene M. (Ross) McLaughlin.  Devoted father of Kevin McLaughlin of Weymouth.  Brother of Mary Wool of South Boston,  Gene McLaughlin of Charlestown, Ronnie  McLaughlin of Scottsdale, AZ,  and the late Francis and Paul McLaughlin.  Cherished Papa of  Joseph and Erin  McLaughlin of Weymouth.  Great grandfather of Arianna McLaughlin.  Larry is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at  9:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.  Burial at a later date in Village Cemetery in Weymouth.
