Laurie L. (Lufkin) Barnes, of East Bridgewater, passed away on January 26, 2022. She was 48

Laurie grew up in South Weymouth before moving to Caryville Florida where she attended Holmes County High School. She returned to Massachusetts and studied to become a massage therapist and a mental health counselor. Laurie enjoyed shopping with her daughters, watching movies, and simply acting silly. When Laurie wasn’t playing with her beautiful grandchildren she could be found cuddling with her favorite dog, Finnley. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and taking trips to the Cape and Florida.

Beloved daughter of Charles W. Lufkin of Cape Coral, Florida, and East Bridgewater and the late Patricia Ann (McLaughlin) Lufkin. 

Loving mother of Chanel N. Plathe and her husband, Gregory, of Rockland, Lauren A. Marston and Isabella D. Barnes both of East Bridgewater. Sister of Edward Lufkin of Cape Coral, Florida, Kerry-Anne McStravick and her husband, John, of Weymouth, and Shannon Powers and her husband, Daniel, of Bridgewater. Grandmother of Morgan, Amelia, Riley, Chloe, and Oliver. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her favorite dog, Finnley. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during her Celebration of Life on Sunday February 6th, at 1 PM at Temple Baptist Church, 540 Manley Street, West Bridgewater
