Laurence J. Laitta, Jr.

Laitta, Laurence J., Jr. of Chicago and formerly of Massachusetts died December 25th at his home. He was 45. Larry was born April 8, 1960 and grew up in Ramsey, NJ. He attended the University of Massachusetts, and worked for Fidelity Investments, and recently as a professional bartender in Chicago. He previously lived in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and the Boston area. Larry was the ultimate people person and everybody thought the world of him. His fiancée, Carol, found Larry to be the “sweetest, kindest” person she ever met. He was overly generous, couldn’t say “no” and he always kept a positive outlook. An avid reader, Larry had an affinity for history and architecture. He loved music, Boston College football and took a special interest in reptiles and dinosaurs. He was thrilled to see the Red Sox win the Series. Since his childhood, Larry loved animals, and he got great joy from his three pets-Duke, Baby and Pappy. Larry will be remembered as a loving son, brother, relative and friend. Loving son of Angela (Angelus) & Laurence J. Laitta, Sr. of Hull. Loving fiancé of Carol Chandler of Chicago. Brother of Karen & her husband Richard Lundholm of Ramsey, N.J., Craig G. Laitta & his wife Pia of NYC, Gina White of Quincy and Michael T. Laitta of Covington, GA. Good friend of Paul J. Dwyer of Covington, GA. Uncle of Justin Bradley Lundholm. Also survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or you are encouraged to adopt an animal in need.
