Kottis, Laura (Tokarski) of Randolph, passed away on July 17, 2011. The beloved wife of 56 years to Gregory A.Kottis of Randolph. Loving mother of Jason Kottis of Quincy and Kristy Kottis of New York City. Sister of Donna Forest of Maine, Eleanor Checkley of Plymouth and Paul Tokarski of Maine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Laura also leaves many beloved friends at Wollaston Church of the Nazarene. Born in South Portland, Maine, Laura grew up in Scarborough, Maine. She graduated from Scarborough High School as the salutatorian of her class. Education remained very important to her throughout her life. She met her husband Gregory in the library of Eastern Nazarene College, they married in Portland, Maine and raised their family in Randolph. Laura taught elementary school for many years, she took great pride in educating children. The focus of her life was her family and her faith. Laura devoted a good portion of her life spreading God’s good word. She was a mentor to many. She will be remembered as a gentle woman who had a special way of comforting others. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, she took the time to care for them as well. Laura found great enjoyment taking care of her English Garden. She will be sadly missed by all those who’s lives were blessed to have been touched by this amazing women. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 2 PM in Wollaston Church of the Nazarene, 37 East Elm Avenue, Quincy, MA . Burial in Central Cemetery, Randolph. Donations in memory of Laura may be made to Eastern Nazarene College, 23 East Elm Ave, Quincy, MA 02170.
