Laura E. Higgins

Laura E. Higgins (Kemmitt) of Quincy MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 5, 2024. She was 76 years old.

Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late John and Rita Kemmitt. Laura enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games, cards, and a cup of tea and conversations with family and friends.

Beloved mother of John J. Higgins and his wife Michelle of Whitman MA and Joseph A. Higgins and his wife Kimberly of Canton MA, and the late Donna Marie Higgins of Ocala FL. The dear sister of Paula Goldman and her husband Warren of Bridgewater MA, Claire Levine of Holbrook MA and Linda Johnson of Hanover MA. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Correia of Weymouth MA, Justin and Nicholas Garofalo of Ocala FL, Samantha and Jacqueline Higgins of Whitman MA. Cherished great-grandmother of Santino Garofalo of Ocala FL. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 1/11 from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).  Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth on 1/12 at 10 AM. Interment will be held privately.
