Laura A. Maffeo

Maffeo, Laura A. (Borsari) of Abington and formerly of Braintree, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2017.

Laura was born in Boston to the late Mario and Margaret Borsari. Laura was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and attended both Quincy College and Northeastern University part-time. She was a member of The Lions Club and enjoyed her time volunteering. Laura treasured time with her grandchildren, gardening, traveling, and telling corny jokes/riddles.  After retiring from Beth Israel Deaconess, Laura found great joy connecting with both co-workers and customers while working at Trucchi’s.

Beloved wife of the late Michael R. Maffeo. Loving mother of Michael Maffeo and his wife Evelyn of Norwood, Steven C. Maffeo and his wife Jacqueline of Weymouth, Christopher J. Maffeo of Pembroke, Brenda J. Foresta and her husband Stephen of Hull, Mario J. Maffeo and his significant other Leighanne Rogers of FL. Cherished Grandmother of Samantha, Marcanthony, Nicholas, Michael, Stacia, Jonathan, Bianca, Richard and Lucia. Cherished sister of Margaret “Peggy” Mulhern, Cindy Healy, Paul Borsari, Richard Dami and the late John Dami. Laura was also predeceased by her step mom Mary “Miná” Borsari.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital), Weymouth. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
