Kristen Grace Scott

Kristen G. Scott, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and accomplished professional, passed away on Sept. 28, 2024, leaving a legacy of warmth, dedication, and kindness. Born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, Kristen attended St. Anne’s School before graduating from Fontbonne Academy, Class of 1989. She continued her studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before transferring to Harvard College, where she earned a degree in liberal arts.

After considering a career in medicine or hospital administration, Kristen ultimately found her passion in the financial industry. She began her professional journey at John Hancock in Boston, where she met the love of her life, Brian. They married on November 13, 2004, and together shared many beautiful years, welcoming their daughter, Katie, into the world in 2008.

Kristen’s career flourished at John Hancock, where she became Director of Education in 2005. Her commitment to excellence and her leadership skills were admired by her colleagues. In 2013, she joined Natixis Global Asset Management, where she dedicated 11 years, rising to the role of Vice President of learning and development. In October 2023, Kristen embarked on an exciting new chapter, establishing her own consulting business, ready to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with the world.

Outside of work, Kristen was known for her vibrant spirit and her love of bringing people together. Her home was often filled with family, friends, and laughter, as she delighted in cooking for loved ones. No one enjoyed her culinary skills more than her Aussiedoodle, Lucky, who eagerly awaited anything that might “accidentally” fall from the table.

More than anything, Kristen’s greatest joy was her role as a mother. She cherished every moment spent with Katie, and her love for her family was the foundation of her life. Her generous spirit, willingness to lend a hand, and unwavering support for those she loved made her a cornerstone of her community and family.

Kristen will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to those she cared about, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and cherished. Her absence leaves a profound void, but her memory and the impact she made on the lives of those who knew her will never fade.

She is survived by her loving husband, Brian, their daughter Katie, her cherished dog Lucky. Daughter of James MacNeil and his wife Jody of Ft. Meyers, FL and Patricia MacNeil of Quincy. Sister of Julie Leong and her husband Ronald of East Amherst , NY. Sister in law of Kevin Scott of Tampa, FL. Loving niece of Ruth and Brian Flaherty of Quincy, Mary Flaherty of Quincy, William Flaherty and his wife Lisa of Yarmouth and the late Kathy Owens. Aunt of Caitlyn Leong-Bridges and her husband Brandon Bridges of VA, Brendan and Dylan Leong both of East Amherst, NY. Kristen is also survived by many dear friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Kristen’s legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, Oct. 5th from. 3-5pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated  on Tuesday, Oct. 8th at 10:30am in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton.
