Kirk P. Stevens

Kirk P. Stevens, 46 years of age, life long resident of Weymouth passed away on February 6, 2013 at his home after his courageous battle with cancer. Kirk was born October 8, 1966, to Tidal K Stevens and Dorothy Manning Stevens.

Kirk was the founder and owner of KP Stevens Construction which he founded at the age of 18 and continued to run for 28 years.  Working side by side all those years with his friend Glenn Wheaton, Kirk built beautiful homes all over southeastern Massachusetts.  Kirk was well respected in the industry and several of the homes he built appeared in publications such as Coastal Living, American Dream Homes, and Home Building. Kirk loved living on the South Shore, working with his hands and working with the tradesman he has known through the years.  Kirk was a lifelong Rex Sox fan, a passion he shared with his two sons Kyle and Kiefer. Kirk and his family loved taking vacations that included driving an RV cross country, visiting his favorite cousin Carmel McCloskey (recently deceased) in N. Ireland, Mexico and the Caribbean, and his favorite, Christmas in Hawaii.

Kirk is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Pimental) Stevens, his son Kyle age 18 and Kiefer age 15, his faithful dog Copper, the extended Pimental family, and his wonderful friends from the building industry.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.). Donations in Kirks memory may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, 124 Watertown Street, Suite 2D, Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
