Kevin M. Waldron

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, Kevin Waldron of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78.

Born in 1946, he was the cherished son of the late Michael and Miriam Waldron.

Kevin was the devoted husband of Therese “Terry” Waldron (Downey), with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Terry was not only his wife, but his lifelong partner and best friend. Their lives were centered around each other, and the deep bond they shared was the foundation of their family. Their love was a shining example of devotion and commitment. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

He was the beloved father of Kevin Waldron (Marlene) of Acworth GA, Christine Waldron of Braintree, Katy Waldron of Weymouth, and Kara Waldron of Braintree, all of whom will forever hold his lessons of honesty, kindness, and resilience close to their hearts.

Kevin was “Grampy” to his grandchildren Kyle Waldron (Heather), Kevin Waldron, and Kelly Waldron. He lovingly considered Kyle his own son, and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Kevin also took immense pride in being the great-grandfather of Riley, whose presence brought him immeasurable joy.

A man of deep faith and community spirit, Kevin was a proud 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Through his involvement, he demonstrated his commitment to charity, unity, and service to others. He formed lifelong friendships within the organization and took great pride in giving back to his church and community.

A skilled craftsman, Kevin owned and operated a successful business until his retirement in 2004. In retirement, he pursued his passion for woodworking, creating custom furniture that was not only functional but also works of art. His workshop was his sanctuary, and each piece he crafted reflected his dedication and talent.

Kevin will also be remembered for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and love of a good prank. Whether it was a clever joke or a lighthearted trick, he brought laughter to every room he entered. His playful spirit and ability to find joy in the smallest moments were gifts he shared generously with family and friends.

Above all, Kevin was a family man. He was the best dad, always teaching his children valuable life skills and the importance of integrity. His steady guidance, warm heart, and unwavering love will be dearly missed.

Kevin is survived by a large and loving extended family, including his cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him extraordinary joy and who will deeply miss his warmth and humor.

Kevin’s legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched and in the beautiful memories his family and friends will forever cherish.
