Kevin J. Mahoney

Mahoney, Kevin J of Quincy, passed away December 30, 2011. Loving companion of Dorothy Jackson of Quincy. Loving father of Sheila Gavoni and her husband, Charlie, of Duxbury, Kevin J. Mahoney and his wife, Marybeth, of Sandwich, Sharon Boyle and her husband, Keith, of Dedham, Sandra Costello and her husband, Larry and Kim Counihan and her husband, Jim, all of Easton. Brother of Mary Reardon, John “Butch” Mahoney, Brian Mahoney all of Quincy and the late Dan Mahoney and Ronnie Mahoney. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Wakefield, Kevin had been a salesman for many years for Narragansett Beer Company. He was also a member of the Quincy Lodge of Elks, he was inducted into the North Quincy Football Hall of Fame in 2001, and was also a twenty year football official in the City of Quincy. An avid sports fan, especially football, he also was a huge fan of Bob Seger. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 5-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
