Kevin Bird

Kevin Bird of Hingham, passed away on Friday October 9, 2015. 

Kevin was the third son of the late James J. Bird, Sr. and Margaret (Sheehan) Bird. He was a 1978 graduate of Scituate High School. He worked for 30 years as a Tunnel Worker (Local 88). After retiring from Local 88, he has been working as a custodian for the Hingham Public Schools; a job he loved. Everyone who had the privilege of his kind heart is better for having known him.

Kevin is survived by his wife Kathleen (Hennessy) Bird, sons Timothy Joseph and Patrick Thomas Bird, all of Hingham. His brothers James J. Bird, Jr. and his wife Brenda, John Bird and his wife Lori, Daniel Bird and his wife Angelika, the late Joseph Bird and his sister Colleen (Bird) Maley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much. 

Kevin was a good and dear friend to so many and was held in such high esteem and cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at the Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will be at a later date.
