Kenyatta A. Braithwaite

Braithwaite, Kenyatta A. “Keny” of Weymouth, died March 31, 2015 at the age of 44.

An employee at Mass Pro in Waltham for 13 years, Keny most recently worked as an IT consultant with IBM, flying cross-country on a weekly basis.  Even from across the country, Keny was an involved husband and father. A true family man, Keny was far from shy about sharing his affections for those he loved.  

Keny was en route to completing his Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems at Harvard Extension School.  Keny became a US citizen last year, an accomplishment in which he took pride, while still reveling in maintaining and sharing his native Trinidadian customs. Keny had a passion for cooking food from his homeland, the spicier the better, and was an avid soccer fan. Often referred to as the life of the party, Keny lit up a room upon entering. 

Keny is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Stone Braithwaite of Weymouth and Marshfield, his adoring son, Kensington Stone Braithwaite, his doting mother, Patricia Braithwaite of Trinidad and the late Kenneth Braithwaite, his mother-in-law Karen Stone Waddell and her husband Michael of Marshfield, his father-in-law Paul Stone and his wife Amy of Cambridge, his brother Kirk Newallo of Trinidad, his sister-in-law Kate Stone, her husband Ryan Flynn, and their daughter Maisy Flynn of Marshfield, and his brother-in-law Jesse Stone of Marshfield. Keny is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Kenyatta may be made to the Kensington Braithwaite Education Fund, c/o Santander Bank, 880 Plain Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.
