Kenneth Wanders

Wanders, Kenneth J. of Carver formerly of Hingham, January 28, 2004. Loving husband of Christina (Saunders) of Carver. Loving father of Benjamin of Carver and the late Wesley Wanders. Loving son of Anna (O’Donnell) and the late William J. Wanders. Beloved brother of Diane Wanders Fedele of Reading, William of Dorchester, Robert of Easton, Joyce Reekie of Carver, Thomas of PA, Steven of Plymouth and Alan of NH. Dear brother in law of an extended family in Ireland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Music was Ken’s passion. He composed and performed acoustic folk music. He was self taught on the guitar and began playing when he was sixteen years old. Ken was also passionate about his communications with his family. He loved having everyone around for family celebrations and traditions. Most of these activities would take place in the family room that he designed and it became the heart of his home. Kenneth had a very spiritual side and was known for his wit and humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Wanders may be made to the Benjamin Wanders Scholarship Fund c/o Rockland Trust Bank, 124 Main Street Carver MA 02330.
