Kenneth W. Mckenna

McKenna, Kenneth W. of Carver, formerly of Whitman and Weymouth, died January 9, 2018.

In his early years Ken worked for W.F. Rice & Sons trucking company where Mr. Rice became a true mentor to him. He went on to have a career with the Weymouth Water Department for many years. Ken enjoyed fishing and camping. He often played in cribbage tournaments with his partner Tom Murphy at the Hanson AA. He will be dearly missed.

Husband of the late Blanch and Earleane McKenna. Father of David McKenna of Rockland, Matthew Cotter of Bridgewater and Melissa Learned of TX. Stepfather of Lori Shea of Plymouth, Kim Cromwell of Halifax, Lisa Dudley of Plymouth, Melissa Costello of Brockton, Craig, Gary, Kurt and Glenn Peterson. Brother of Joyce McKenna and Gayle Dalrymple, both  of Weymouth. Uncle of Dan Hamilton of Pembroke. Best friend of Barry Rice of Weymouth. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 26 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7 PM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to a hospice of your choice.
