Burns, Kenneth J. “Ken” of Brockton, died unexpectedly September 12, 2017.
Beloved husband of Cheri-ann Burns of Brockton. Loving father of Jared Burns of Brockton and his step children Edward Milano and his wife Jennifer of Connecticut, Michael Milano of Canton and Angela York and her husband Michael of East Bridgewater. Devoted Papa of Aria York of East Bridgewater. Cherished son of Myrna MacDonald and her husband Ronald of Canada and the late Eugene Burns. Caring brother of David Burns of Quincy and the late Robert Burns. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Ken was born and raised in Quincy. He worked as a surveyor with a private practice for many years and later for the Norfolk County Engineering Department. Ken was an accomplished artist and opened Ken Burns Art and Framing after his retirement. He was a man of many talents who could fix anything including remodeling and designing homes. Ken was a sports man and had a special keen for fishing and was a member of the Holbrook Sportsmen’s Club. Ken was an avid movie fanatic and appreciated the details in each film. His main passion in life was spending time with his family and friends. Ken will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 2-4 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 4 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ken may be made to the Department of Neurology at Boston University Medical Center 72 East Concord St., C3 Boston, Ma 02118
