Kenneth E. Yoerger, (Papa Ken) 88, of both Englewood, FL and Weymouth, MA died peacefully on November 11th. Devoted and cherished husband of 35 years to Lorraine Yoerger.
Ken was born and raised in the Germantown part of Quincy, MA. After graduating from Quincy High School and Newman Prep, he entered the Marines. Later he joined Local 103, where he became a Master Electrician and recently received his 67 year award pin. Ken was a proud, caring and hard-working man, who was well respected by his peers, family and friends.
Ken is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Irene Yoerger. Brother of Ellen L. Yoerger and the late Elizabeth A. Buccella.
Ken is survived by his children and their spouses, Marianne and Paul Silowan, Lisa and Joseph Casale, Anthony and Penny Bonanno, Linda and Jack Crowley and Joseph Bonanno, as well as his grandchildren; Tatiana, Kristen, Natasha, Alec, Kathryn, Anthony, William, Gianna, Julia, Adrian and Christian, as well as his great grandchildren; Mia, Ava and Jacqueline.
Ken was a man of many interests; skiing, fishing and hunting but his passion was boating and being on the ocean. He was a lifetime member of the Town River Yacht Club where he had too many lifelong friends to list. For the past 25 years, when not in Weymouth, Ken and Lorraine enjoyed their winters in their beautiful home in Englewood Fl. He loved following and watching the Red Sox and Patriots teams and spent time on the weekends making great BBQ.
His influence and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him.
