Mr. Kenneth D. Hogan, of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester passed away on July 30, 2021.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Sandra A. (Watkins) Hogan.
Ken was a 25-year employee of Anheuser-Busch, in Medford. From a young age, he had a passion for music and loved to sing, especially doo-wop a cappella. Ken played in several area bands and music groups, and also traveled the country doing what he enjoyed. Ken was a member of The St. Kevin Emerald Knights Drum & Bugle Corps of Dorchester which impacted his life in a positive way teaching him hard work, practice, discipline, and camaraderie.
Ken made numerous life-long friends through St. Kevin’s. (Junior Corps in early 1960’s, and Alumni Corps in the late 1990’s). In retirement, Ken enjoyed gardening, tending to his property, beach vacations, and feeding and watching the multitude of songbirds and hummingbirds visiting his backyard on a daily basis.
Ken’s family would like to thank Dana Farber Weymouth and Hospice of the South Shore for their compassionate care of Ken.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Thursday at 10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), followed by Graveside Services in Mount Hope Cemetery, Weymouth at 11 AM
