Chase, Kenneth D. of Quincy, passed away peacefully June 12, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was a graduate from Quincy High School and Northeastern University receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1955. He also served in the United States Army as a second lieutenant. His career consisted of working as a sales/design engineer for defense contractors Avco, Textron, and General Electric. He loved sailing and racing catamarans competitively in Quincy Bay and was a great teacher of sailing and all things nautical. He later opened his own boat business in Hingham. He devoted much time in his later years to fundraising for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children and especially enjoyed engaging with the public. Ken loved spending time socializing with his many friends, especially those who resided with him at Brookdale Quincy Bay and of course his time with his children and grandchildren.
Beloved Father of Susan Tressel and her husband Douglas of Pembroke, David Chase and his wife Laurie of Eliot, ME, Janice Morse of Port St. Lucia, FL and Steven Chase and his wife Suzanne of Hanover. Cherished Gramdpa to Eric, Stephen, Ryan, Lauren, David, Christopher, Trevor, Melissa, Jennifer, Josh, Michael, Kevin, and Zachary. Great Grampa to Dominic, Jaydan, Kennedy and Camden.
