Kelly (Culbert)Garofola

Beneath tender skies, the gentle soul of Kelly (Culbert) Garofola took its silent leave from this Earth on January 20, 2024. Born on March 11, 1966, Kelly entered this world with a quiet thoughtfulness that would become a hallmark of her 57 years. 

Kelly was a kind, loving, and compassionate individual. She had a natural talent for working with children and dedicated many years as an elementary paraprofessional in the Hull Public School System, bringing smiles, laughter, and love to the children she worked with everyday.

In her free time, Kelly enjoyed taking walks and finding quiet moments along the bay. She cherished spending time and sharing laughter with her children and husband. Kelly also had a special place in her heart for her beloved animal companion, Molly, with whom she shared many warm snuggles. 

Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Rob Garofola, and their children, Lilly and Evan Garofola of Hull. She is also survived by her brother Gerald Culbert of Revere, sisters Mary-Lou Markowitz and her late husband Alan of Hull, Kathy McLaughlin and her husband Kevin of Marshfield, Nancy Corcoran and her husband Rusty of Hanover, Pat Paula and her husband James of Hull, brother in law Kevin Conway of Hull, and sister in law Kathy Garofola Lo and her husband Danny of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 

As Kelly is called to join her mother Marion (Van Dine) Culbert, father, Lloyd Culbert, and sisters Leona Conway and Betty-Ann Culbert in the heavenly abode, they remain grateful for the precious moments shared. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather in solemn remembrance and joyful celebration of Kelly’s life on Thursday, February 1 at 8:30-10:00 am in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. Hingham. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Parish, St. Ann’s church, located at 204 Samoset Ave, Hull. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Kelly’s memory to a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of the funeral services.
