Kathy A. Owens

Owens, Kathy A. (Flaherty) of Quincy, died after a courageous battle with ALS, on June 15, 2016. 

Kathy’s life revolved around her husband, daughter and three grandsons.  She enjoyed walks along the beach in South Boston, cooking, and family celebrations.  She was extremely proud of her career as a Certified Cancer Registrar for over 30 years at several local hospitals.  She will be remembered for her friendly and social manner, helpful attitude, care for others, and love for her cats. 

Beloved wife of Kevin T. Owens of Quincy.  Loving mother of Michelle L. Delorey and her husband Adam of Quincy.  Cherished Grammy to Adam Delorey, Jr., Nathan Delorey, and Brady Delorey.  Loving sister of Patricia MacNeil of Quincy, Ruth Flaherty of Quincy, William Flaherty of Foxboro, and Mary Flaherty of Quincy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.  Cremation will follow.
