Kathleen R. Roth

Roth, Kathleen R. (Gray) of Hingham, died September 18, 2015.  

Kathleen’s family was the focal point of her life and she treasured her children and grandchildren, as they did her.  After living outside the U.S. for seven years Kathleen and her family settled in Hingham.  She worked for the State as an Administrative Assistant to the Senior Counsel for the Committee for Public Counsel Services for many years before retiring.  She also served for several years as Legislative Coordinator for Massachusetts Citizens for Life and volunteered for Birthright.  Kathleen’s passions included gardening, the beach, playing bridge, watching the Kentucky Derby, trips to the casinos, and an occasional scratch ticket.  She will be remembered for her faith, strong beliefs, devotion, and love of family.  

Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Roth.  Loving mother of Maureen Gray of Hingham, Edward Rothe and his wife Pamela of Hingham, Bridget Roth of Hull, and Lourdes Arena and her husband John of Hull.  Sister of the late Rita O’Brien, Anne Patterson, Marie Larson Luke “Bud” Gray, and John “Jack” Gray.  Grammy to Siobhan, Brianna, Marisa, and Kailen.  Also survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn Gray and her niece Dianne McDonough Riley, as well as many other nieces and nephews.  Close friend of Ann Morash.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
