Kathleen M. Young

Kathleen M. Young,  died peacefully on Dec 30 2015 surrounded by the comfort  and love of her daughter and grandchildren at home.

Kathleen M Young was born to the late Stanley Karuzis and Gertrude (Garneau) Karuzis on March 28, 1943. Preceding her was Giuseppe, “Tony” Belmonte, her true father who embraced  and loved her and later her children. 

Kathy will be remembered as a devoted and  kind, loving and giving lady, mother, grandmother sister and friend. Kathy loved decorating her home, gardening and especially enjoyed the view of the pond from her home. Kathy also enjoyed traveling and time with her lifelong friends who embraced her and cared for her during her many boughts with illness. Above all else Kathy loved when she became “Grammy” and adored her grandchildren, Alex, Katherine, and Lance. Loving and making her grandchildren feel special was her true passion and delight.

 

Kathy leaves behind her daughter  Joelle Riddell and her son in law Peter Riddell of Hingham, and her son Joseph Young of Revere.   Kathy is survived by her brother Michael Karuzis and his wife Carol and her two cousins who were like sisters to her, Francis Dicicco and Patricia Jeffery. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends.  

 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.) Hingham  on January 9, 2016 at 12 noon.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the South Shore.
