Meehan, Kathleen M. “Kay” of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester, South Boston and Quincy, died November 15, 2015.
Kay was a fun and loving aunt who was devoted to her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved taking them to the beach and Paragon Park in Hull. Kay was always there when anyone needed her and was always willing to help in any way she could. She retired from the Veteran Administration, where she worked in the records department for many years, and from St. Margaret’s Hospital, where she worked on the switchboard. Kay was a long time volunteer at 1000 Southern Artery where she lived for over 20 years. Throughout her life, Kay traveled extensively, driving across the country and visiting places all over the world especially Bermuda and Ireland. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beloved daughter of the late John T. and Mary A. Meehan. Devoted aunt of Anne L. Brown of Quincy, Mary Bigelow (Jim) of Berkley, MA, Joseph Brown (Mary) of West Roxbury, Ellen Finnegan (Richard) of Plymouth and Francis Brown (Mary) of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by 11 grand nieces and nephews and 4 great grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving sister Anna Brown and her brother in law Francis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church Chapel, Quincy. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
