Kathleen M. “Kate” Moran

Moran, Kathleen M. “Kate” of Quincy formerly of Dorchester , died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, she was 51. Loving daughter of John Moran of Quincy and the late Joan E. (Storan) Moran. Sister of Patricia Moran of Quincy, Barbara Moran of Wrentham, John Moran of Quincy, Nancy LeVie of Millis and Timothy Moran of Quincy and the late James A. “Jimmy” Moran. Favorite aunt of Matthew, Kristin and Kasey LeVie all of Millis. Kate grew up in Dorchester and graduated from St. Gregory’s High School. She worked for the Horizan Management Group LLC: The Hartford, Boston office as a reinsurance consultant for 30 years. Kate was an avid reader who enjoyed scrapbooking. She frequently traveled abroad. She enjoyed following sports especially the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and the Celtics. Kate played competitive tennis in her earlier years. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister and aunt who was always there for her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Monday 4-8pm PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Tuesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kate may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 120 Wall St. 19th floor, New York ,New York, 10005.
