Kathleen M. Curley

Curley, Kathleen M. (McKenna) of Quincy, formerly of Prince Edward Island died March 3, 2008. Devoted wife of Joseph Curley of Quincy. Beloved mother of Maureen and her husband Walter Wall of CA, JoAnne Grennell of Quincy, Kevin Curley of Quincy, and Kathy and her husband Greg Shidler of Peabody. Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Luke Wall, James, Victor, and Vincent Grennell, Leo, Kaitlyn, and Gregory Shidler, Jr., and great grandmother of Alex Grennell. Loving sister of the late Carl, Lawrence, and Hubert McKenna. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was born in Prince Edward Island and came to America when she was in her early 20’s. She was an LPN and practiced as a private nurse in the South Shore area. Kathleen had a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She was a true “kidder”. Kathleen was a member of the Braintree Moose Lodge. Kathleen enjoyed bingo night and occasional trips to Foxwoods. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Friday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Cremation will follow. Kathleen will be buried on Prince Edward Island at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to the nursing facility whose dedication and skilled care was such an important aspect in her life over the past year.
