Kathleen M. Barden

Kathleen M. Barden of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 at the age of 68 after a brief illness.

Kathy was the loving sister of Maureen Madden (Brian) of Pembroke, Nancy Barron (Stephen) of Pembroke, Jeanne Benton (Dean) of Weymouth, Mary Ellen Dann (Corey) of Weymouth, Edward Barden(Nancy DeYeso) of Weymouth, Ann Dias of Suffield, CT, and Patricia Whalen (Kevin) of Weymouth. Also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and great nephews, and many loving cousins and friends. She was the cherished daughter of the late Jeanne (Kelley) and Edward Barden.

Kathy worked at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth for 49 years as a Nutrition and Food Services Supervisor and retired last year. She was a friend to all and a mentor to many at the hospital. Kathy enjoyed music, traveling, photography, baking and reading.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 10/18/22 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday 10/19/2022 prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
