Daley, Kathleen “Kathy” (Gallagher) a life long resident of Hull, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, October 19, 2009, she was 61. The beloved wife of 40 years to Edmund W. Daley of Hull. Devoted mother of Timothy Daley of Weymouth, Patrick Daley and his fiancée Shannon McMahon of Hull. Cherished sister of Maureen and her husband Joseph Schwede of Port Charlotte, FL, Michael Gallagher and his wife Denise of Hull, Eileen Gallagher of Hull and the late Stephen A. Gallagher. Daughter of the late Alfred & Mary (Kelly) Gallagher. Kathy is also survived by and will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Kathy held many positions with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and retired from the Department of Revenue. She was generous with both her time and resources supporting the Democratic Political Party. She was passionate about helping those less fortunate and her contributions ranged from local to global organizations. She loved to travel the world and cherished cruising with family and friends. Kathy will be remembered for her generosity, her thoughtfulness and her overflowing compassion. She will be sadly missed by all those who were fortunate to call her friend. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church at 10:30 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to Hull Seaside Animal Rescue, 50 L Street, Hull, MA or Perkins School for the Blind, Perkins Trust Office, 175 N Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
