Kathleen (Kate) Sheridan

Kathleen (Kate) Sheridan of Hingham, MA, formerly of London, England, wife of the late Richard J. Sheridan, received her angel wings on October 15, 2018 and joined our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven. Kathleen is survived by her three children, Dr. Elizabeth A. Evans and her husband, William, of Georgia, Edward J. Sheridan and his wife Neda, of Braintree, MA, and Jennifer C. Sheridan of Rockland, MA. She was a devoted ‘Nana’ to 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Kate was the middle child of five children. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Martin and Peter Collins of London, England. She is survived by her sisters, Eileen Vitanza of Buffalo, NY, Mary Pezzuto of Twyford, England, and her brother in law, James Sheridan and his wife, Mary, of Duxbury, MA., along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kate was a member of the South Shore Mayflowers English Club. She worked for many years in finance and retired in 2011 to spend more time with her family and pursue her love of traveling. Kate enjoyed quilting, reading, sewing, and sipping a cup of tea with friends and family. She was a dedicated friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, October 21st, 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday, October 22nd, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Paul Cemetery, Hingham.
