Kathleen Gallagher

Kathleen (Carroll) Gallagher of Weymouth, died March 4, 2019 at the age of 73.

Kathy worked as a medical secretary at South Shore Hospital for many years and later as a receptionist for Dr. Geoffrey Emerson in South Weymouth. A lifelong resident of Weymouth, Kathy graduated from Weymouth High School and Burdett College. She enjoyed gardening and spending time at the beach. Some of her greatest memories were created at Bayview Campground in Bourne where countless family vacations took place.

She was the beloved wife of 45 years to Charles F. Gallagher, Jr. Loving mother of Chuck Gallagher and his wife M.J. of South Boston. Devoted grandmother (“Nanny”) of Grace and Rory. Loving sister of Joan Powell, Leslie Piepiora and husband John, all of Weymouth, Mike Carroll and wife Joanne of Brockton, and the late Peter Carroll. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
