Kathleen F. “Kate” Sullivan

SULLIVAN, KATHLEEN FRANCES (Kate) of Hull and longtime resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on August 17, 2016 after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. Kate was born in Brighton and later moved to the Berkshires with her family. She graduated with high honors from St. Joseph’s High School, Pittsfield in 1963. Upon graduation she entered the order of The Sisters of St. Joseph.  She graduated from The Elms College and began a teaching career culminating as principal in the Springfield Diocese. Kate later moved to Chicago where she worked at Children’s Hospital and was inspired to study to be a hospital chaplain. She went on to become a director of pastoral counseling until her retirement from St. Camillus and The Village of Manor Park in Milwaukee.

Daughter of the late David F. and Kathleen Sullivan, she leaves her cherished sisters Karen Sullivan Evans, Frani Sullivan both of Hull and Brenda Sullivan Perroni of Lynn, loving brothers Peter and wife Jean of Scituate and Robert and wife Colleen of Seattle. Kate was the loving aunt to Shannon, Kerry, Melissa, Mike, Shawna, Caitlin, Cody, Logan, and Molly; and great aunt to Isabel and Joshua. She leaves behind many life long dear friends in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Florida, including the late Fr. Neil Decker of Weston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 3 – 7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Monday prior to the funeral mass next door at St Ann’s Church at 11:00 AM. Cremation will follow.
