Kathleen Cobb

Cobb, Kathleen (Hanafin) of Weymouth, formerly of Mission Hill,  passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, May 20, 2015.

Daughter of the late Michael C. and Maryanne (McCarthy) Hanafin. Beloved wife of the late Martin T. “Jeff”  Cobb.  Loving mother of Richard Cobb and his wife Kathleen of Braintree, Maureen Murphy and her husband James of Weymouth and Kathleen Gibbons and her husband Terrence of Weymouth. Dear sister of the late Cornelius, Elizabeth Frazier, Esther Petrone, Helen, Margaret, John, Jeremiah, Elsie-Claire and Michael Hanafin. Kathleen is lovingly survived by 11 grandchildren 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Dear sister-in-law of Madeline Hanafin of Arlington. 

Kathleen was a devout Catholic and very devoted to the Blessed Mother.  She personified the true meaning of family. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10AM. Burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to the Allerton House Recreation Fund, 43 Schoolhouse Road, Weymouth, MA 02188.
