Kathleen A. Macdonald

MacDonald, Kathleen A., of Norwell, October 16, 2009. Beloved wife of Thomas Tucker. Loving daughter of the late Madeline Thorson. Loving mother of Theresa Wasserman and her husband Stan, Daniel MacDonald and his wife Shelly, Diane Burke and her husband Andrew, Rick MacDonald and his wife Linda, Pam Flannery, Paul MacDonald and his wife Amy and Lisa Thompson and her husband Roger; all of the South Shore. Sister of Patrick McCann, Jack Thorson, Bill Thorson, Edward Thorson; all of NH, Daniel Thorson of MN, Janie Williams of VT and the late Sandra Thorson. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen’s focus in her life was her large family, especially the grandchildren. She was most proud of all their successes. Mrs. MacDonald loved to travel, most recently meeting some of her family, for the first time, in Ireland. She spent time with her family at the Bourne Scenic Park and enjoyed walks along the Cape Cod Canal. Kathleen frequently visited Martha’s Vineyard and especially enjoyed the Annual Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby that brought the family together. She was an avid fan of Fox News, Howie Carr and Bill O’Reilly. Mrs. MacDonald was inspirational, loving and caring, yet at the same time strong-willed. Funeral services were private for the family but they are planning a Celebration of Life Service in the spring on Martha’s Vineyard. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to Mass. General Hospital Cancer Center, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.
