Kathleen A. Devenny

Devenny, Kathleen A. (McCabe) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, September 2, 2007. Beloved wife of the late F. William Devenny. Loving mother of Mary Gilbert of IN and Donna M. Doherty of Quincy. Sister of the late Edmund, Walter & Leo McCabe and Mary Love. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 12 Noon. Visitation prior to service from 11 AM to 12 Noon. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Kathleen worked at GE in Lynn for 10 years prior to working at Kemper Life Insurance. She enjoyed all forms of dancing, especially line dancing. She lived through the Depression and WWII. Out of necessity, she learned how to sew, knit and crochet. Kathleen was also an excellent cook and was known for her baking skills. Above all else, Mrs. Devenny loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren.
