Hayes, Katherine “Kay” T. (Belliveau) of Boston, formerly of Quincy, died June 23, 2012, she was 84. The beloved wife of the late John A. Hayes. Loving mother of Kevin J. Hayes and his wife Alice of LaJolla,CA John B. Hayes and his wife Carol of Danvers, Ken Hayes and his wife Casey of Hampton, NH and Katherine M. Hayes of Boston. Sister of Robert Belliveau of Marco Island, FL and the late Louis Belliveau. Cherished grandmother of Christine Weller, Kevin J. Hayes,Jr., Brendan Hayes, Dylan Hayes, Owen Hayes, Perry Hayes and Conor Hayes. Great grandmother of Caroline Hayes Weller, Hayes Weller, Liam Hayes, Brooks M. Weller and Catherine Hayes. Kay was a longtime resident of Quincy, she spent several years in Hingham and in Cape Cod. She was a graduate of North Quincy High School Class of 1945. In the 50’s Kay worked as an airline stewardess for Northeast Airlines and was fortunate to have had John F. Kennedy as passenger on her flight. She worked as a tax assessor for the town of Barnstable as well as Groton and Quincy. The foundation of her life was her family. They were what was truly important to her, she was devoted to them and in return they cherished her. She will be sadly missed by all of them, they are grateful for all the blessings she brought into their lives. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
