Katherine “Kaye” (Frain) O’Brien

Katherine “Kaye” (Frain) O’Brien of South Weymouth who was the daughter of the late Margaret McSweeney Frain and Owen F. Frain passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 95. 

Survived by her devoted daughter Karen Wojtanek and grandchildren Kirsten Wojtanek and Kurt Wojtanek. She was the second oldest of six siblings: Eugene Frain, John Frain, Paul Frain, Margaret Martino and Maureen Villemaire, all predeceased. She was predeceased by her daughter Gail M. O’Brien. For 49 years she was married to the late Timothy L. O’Brien.

Kaye was an administrative assistant at Braintree Hospital and National FIRE Association. She was a self taught artist and member of several South Shore Art Association, an avid golfer, a reader of nonfiction and a former choir member at St. Francis Xavier Parish where she was a devoted Roman Catholic.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 8 AM – 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
