Katherine F. “Kay” Owens

Mrs. Katherine F. “Kay” (Sullivan) Owens, of Foxboro, formerly of Weymouth passed away on February 24, 2023. She was 102.  

Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Costigan) Sullivan, Kay lived in North Weymouth for many years before moving to Foxboro in 2014. She loved playing the lottery and Kay was very much proud of her Irish Heritage. Before moving to Foxboro, Kay was a communicant at Saint Jerome’s Church in North Weymouth.  She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. 

Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Owens. 

Loving mother of Lawrence E. Owens and his wife, Linda, of Dennisport, Paul M. Owens and his wife, Karen, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Kathleen A. Donegan and her husband, William, of North Attleboro and the late Thomas J. Owens, Jr and his surviving wife, Christine of Kuna, Idaho. 

Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including Barbara M. Plunkett and her husband, Robert of Quincy.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Friday, March 17th, from  9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square), followed by her Funeral Mass in Saint Jerome’s Church, 632 Bridge Street Weymouth at 10:30 AM. 

Burial will follow in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jerome’s Church.
