Katherine E. Regan

Katherine E. Regan (age 24) loving daughter to Stephen C. and Darlene J. Regan of Hanson, was surrounded by her family when she passed away at Loma Linda University Hospital, Loma Linda, CA.  She battled a rare liver disorder and was on the transplant list.  Born and raised in South Weymouth, she attended Saint Francis Xavier School, Sacred Heart High School and Lasell College.  Katherine, a lifeguard at Camp Kiwanee for over 3 years, enjoyed working with children.  She toured France, Germany and Italy and received a scholarship in humanities for her participation as a missionary, San Benito, TX.  Her love of travel and devotion to her family will always be in our hearts.  She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed sport fishing.  Katherine was loved by all she met in her lifetime.

 Most of all, she loved and was always there for her devoted brother, 1st Lt. Christopher C. Regan, Army Ranger.  Katherine is also survived by her grandfather Robert F. Carney.  She is predeceased by her devoted grandparents, Muriel and Thomas Regan, Rita Carney.  Her Aunts, Uncles and cousins will always remember Katherine for her zest of charitable goodness to all.  We will all miss Katherine for her bright and cheerful spirit, as well as infectious smile.

 Katherine will be waked from the McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Thursday May 9, 2013 4-8.  A gathering in the funeral home will be held at 9 AM, Friday, May 10, 2013 prior to the funeral at 10 AM, St. Francis Xavier Church, Pleasant St. Weymouth, interment at St. James Cemetery, Whitman.
