Katherine E. Holt

Holt, Katherine E. (O’Connor) of Hingham, 87, died January 21, 2015 at home with her daughter by her side. 

Beloved wife of the late Harry E. Holt and daughter of the late Nora C. (Meade) and Daniel J. O’Connor.  Loving mother of Nancy Holt of Hingham. 

Katherine was raised in Swampscott and lived in Boston before she was married and settled in Hingham in 1965.  She was a graduate of Swampscott High School and Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a private duty nurse at Mass General Hospital  and a store nurse at Jordan Marsh in Boston until her marriage and a nurse at Queen Anne Nursing Home after the death of her husband before retiring.  Katherine enjoyed spending time with her daughter Nancy who was the center of her life.  She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure to have known her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meade-O’Connor-Holt Scholarship Fund at Notre Dame Academy, 1073 Main St., Hingham, MA  02043.
