Koch, Karl J. of Quincy, February 21, 2006. Loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Loretta (Cluett) Koch of Quincy. Loving father of Jeanmarie and her husband Frank Alibrandi of Quincy, Karl John, Jr. of Quincy, Kenneth J. and his wife Diane of Middleboro, David of Quincy, William R. and his wife Cheryl of Kingston, MaryLou of Quincy and Brian F. and his wife Tori of Norwell. Brother of Ann Byrne of California and the late Leo, Richard J., Paul, Mary Phelan and Francesca Jackson. Grandfather of Kara, Frank Jr., & Jenna Alibrandi, Kenneth Jr., Justin, Matthew, Michael, Patrick, Sean and Caroline Koch. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Koch may be made to the Koch Club, 241 Newbury Ave. N. Quincy, MA 02171 or Veterans Homeless Shelter, 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108. Mr. Koch was the former owner/operator of Koch’s Oil in Quincy. He worked as a driver for a combined 30 years for the White Brothers Milk Co. and Whitings Milk Co. Karl was also the owner/operator of L.E. Lewis Transportation. He was an original member of the Koch Club and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2259. He was a life member of the 94th Infantry Division and a member of the American Legion Post #95. Mr. Koch was a Bronze Star recipient from the Army in WWII. Karl was an active participant at the Quincy City Council Meetings. He also enjoyed gardening and yardwork.
