Karl E. Ericson

Karl E. Ericson passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 100 in Plymouth. Born on August 21, 1924, in Quincy to the late Anna and Bernard Ericson of Sweden. Karl's life was a century-spanning journey marked by dedication, love, and the simple joys that create a life well-lived.

Growing up in Weymouth, Karl's early years laid the foundation for a life of hard work and commitment as a carpenter.

Karl was the loving husband of the late Margaret MacNeil-Ericson and Lucille Ericson. He was a loving father to his children, David Ericson and his late wife Laurel and the late Karl Ericson Jr. and his wife Amy of Halifax and the late Suzanne Ericson. Karl found joy and pride in his role as a cherished grandfather to Cassandra Ericson and her wife Britney of Pembroke, and to Daniel Ericson of Wareham. He is predeceased by his siblings.

Karl's interests were a reflection of the man he was—simple, profound, and full of heart. An avid reader, he could often be found with a book in hand. Fishing with his son Dave was not just a pastime but a cherished ritual. And, of course, his day was never complete without a full pot of coffee, a testament to his appreciation for life's consistent pleasures.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
