Karen M. Frawley (O’Shea) of South Weymouth passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was 73.
Karen was the beloved wife of the late John A. Frawley. She was the devoted mother of Michelle L. Frawley of Rockland, Patricia A. Frawley of Weymouth, and their brother Christopher J. Frawley of Weymouth. Daughter of the late Daniel and Lenore O’Shea, she grew up in the Forest Hills section of Jamaica Plain. Karen was sister to William O’Shea, David O’Shea, John O’Shea, James O’Shea, Richard O’Shea, and the late Gerald O’Shea and Daniel O’Shea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Karen was a caring friend to many, including lifelong friends Susan McCann and Joan Glynn.
Karen began her career at John Hancock and later worked for Weymouth Public Schools Food Services for 22 years. She loved listening to country music, was unmatched at solving crosswords, and was happiest spending summer days with family and friends in Hull. All those who loved her will remember her for her kindness, strength, and tenacity.
Visiting hours will be held Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to In Memory of Me Tanner B at P.O. Box 890212 Weymouth, MA 02189 or via venmo at @Teamtannerfund.
