Karen A. Guivens

Karen A. Guivens of Quincy, Provincetown and Stuart, Florida formerly of Andover, passed away at home on March 24, 2014.   She was born in Cambridge to the late Francis Glavin and Vivian Tarentino.   

Karen had a successful career for more than 35 years in Financial Services, most recently employed by PNC Global Investment Services before retiring in 2006.  Family, friends and her dog were Karen’s passion and joy.  She had an ability to connect with people that was amazing with an incredible knack for making those around her laugh and smile.  She was always there to give of herself and help others.   She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Karen is survived by her spouse of 30 years Nina E. Nicolosi.  She also leaves behind many, many friends.      

Friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy.  A Memorial Service will be celebrated following the visitation on Friday at 7 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial will be Private at a later date.
