Jung Yuet “John” Goon

Goon, Jung Yuet “John” at the age of 82, of North Quincy, passed away on October 8, 2015. 

He was the devoted husband of Lan Fong (Nancy) Goon. He served in the 2^nd Armored Cavalry 39^th Battalion of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1954.

He was also a member of the American Legion Boston Chinatown Post #328, an officer in the Goon Shee Association, and owner of Fuji Island restaurant.

He was the loving father of Dick of N. Quincy, Thomas and his wife Mei of Hingham, David and his wife Crystal of N. Quincy, and Ken of N. Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of Timothy, Victoria, Ryan, Kameron, and Jordan. 

Younger brother of the late Seuk Mon Goon and his late wife Gu Fong Goon of Quincy and Jin Di Ruan and her late husband Guang Yao Xu of Manhattan, NY.

Visiting hours for the wake will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 5 – 8 PM at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170.

Last respects will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10 AM at Keohane’s followed by the burial with military honors at Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy.
