Judy A. McCaffrey

Judy A. McCaffrey, 62, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2025. Born on November 29, 1962, she was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy, or Mimi as she was known to her grandchildren, was known for her unforgettable spirit, caring heart, and independent nature.

Judy’s life was characterized by her dedication to her family and commitment to her community. While raising her children, Judy held various jobs. She exemplified resilience and determination as she provided for her family. Once her children reached adulthood, she embraced an entirely new chapter by becoming a certified nursing assistant—an achievement she held dear to her heart. Judy's CNA career was not just a job; it was a testament to her strength and resilience.

Among her fondest memories were the family dinners with loved ones gathering around her table. Judy’s warmth and hospitality made every meal a celebration, and her generosity extended beyond her kitchen. She volunteered at the South Boston Boys and Girls Club, organizing bake sales and fundraisers for her daughters’ swim teams. She dedicated many hours to Immaculate Conception Church, where she served as a sacristan. Her tireless contributions to her community showcased her commitment and the pride she took in service.

Judy found joy in a variety of hobbies, including bingo, dancing, and baking. A lover of sunshine, she enjoyed tanning at the beach, and relished quality time spent playing with her grandchildren. She was outspoken and had a personality that lit up every room she entered; her laughter and love were as immense as her heart.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Joseph McCaffrey of Weymouth. Cherished Mother to Michelle Errico and her spouse Daniel Campbell of Weymouth, Jennifer Barnes and her husband Anthony of Weymouth, Robert Errico Jr of South Boston, and Rachel McCaffrey of Quincy. Caring Grandmother to Madison Campbell, Martin Barnes Jr., Celeste Campbell, Troy Barnes, Eric Barnes, Destiny McCaffrey, and Scarlett McCaffrey. Judy leaves behind her siblings Jerry Etro, Christine Kenney, Mark Etro and Jenette Etro, her former husband Robert Errico Sr., as well as sisters in law, brothers in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
