Judith C. (Sangster) Hartford

Judith C. (Sangster) Hartford, of Braintree, formerly of Scituate, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Alliance HealthCare Center of Braintree. She was 78.

Born in Quincy on February 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hyacinthe (Kelcourse) Sangster. Judith attended local schools and graduated from North Quincy High School.

A homemaker, Judith raised her family with love and devotion. Her children, grandchildren and family were the most important part of her life. A selfless and generous person, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for the people she cared for. In her spare time, Judith enjoyed quilting, traveling, painting, and cooking.

Judith was a loving and supportive person with a great sense of humor. Her life lessons and example are part of her legacy that continues through her family. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Judith was the beloved wife of the late Neil M. Hartford, who died in 2019. She was the devoted mother of Heather A. Hartford of Weymouth, Jonathan A. Hartford and his wife Melissa of Wayland, Michael A. Hartford and his wife Leyre of Sharon and Christopher N. Hartford of Phoenix, AZ. Judith was the loving grandmother of Orly Hartford of Sharon and Madeline Hartford of Wayland, and the dear sister of the late Arthur John Sangster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.
