Russo, Josephine R. (McKay) of Hull February 16, 2004. Beloved Wife of Felix Russo of Hull. Loving Mother of Terry Shaughnessy and her fiance David Loomis of Hull and the late Richard Russo. Cherished Grandmother of Lynda, Christine, Brian and Meaghan Shaughnessy. Josephine graduated from Hyde Park High School. She was an avid roller skater. When younger she travelled to many of the roller rinks in MA and a New England and went as far as Mineola, NY on a whim, just to skate and do the dances. Sewing was another love and she would design create and sew her skating dresses and skirts. She could mend most clothing and often would tear apart and recreate an article of clothing. Her favorite was creating and sewing lace wedding garters. These were saved not thrown at weddings. Josephine was a weekly communicant at St. Angela’s in Mattapan and all three churches in Hull. She sang in the choir at St. Angela’s and was in the Ladies Sodality in both parishes. Hull was her home for most of her life. She loved the town and enjoyed walking the beach. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM Thursday at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-9 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Mrs. Russo may be made to St. Mary’s Parish Building Fund P.O. Box 565, Hull, MA 02045.
